The Basketball Fix - Detroit Theater owner Jack Broder was one of many regional theater owners who caught the bug to make their own movies back in the 1950`s. It almost never worked, but the stories were a continuation of the poverty row type fare ground out by PRC, Monogram, and Republic in prior decades. This is a simple yarn telling the tawdry tale of the kids fixing basketball games during that time period. John Ireland made a career in these type of movies, as did Marshall Thompson. Fun to watch, but Gone With the Wind it ain`t!
